Admission Policy
- Admission will be made purely on the basis of merit, while for SC, ST and PH candidates the usual reservation system will be followed.
- In the B.A., B.Sc. and B.Com. General and Honours courses, candidates having passed their H.S. Examination in the years 2008, 2009 and 2010 can take admission
after counselling basis of merit list.
- For candidates passing out their H.S. Examination in the previous year, i.e. 2009 and seeking admission in Hons. coures of Arts & Science stream a 5% deduction from the aggregate will be made before preparation of the merit list. Accordingly, a 10% deduction from the aggregate will be applicable for candidates who passed their H.S. Examination in the year 2008.
- In case of science students seeking admission in either Bengali (Hons) or English(Hons), 50 marks will be deducted from their aggregate before they are empanelled in the merit list. However, the 5% deduction for previous year candidates will be similarly applicable in their case.
- For admission in the Honours and General courses, a mode of counselling
on the basis subject wise merit panels.
- Students selected during counselling will have to take admission immediately as per notice.
- Students desiring to apply in a single form. In that case, they will have to mention the specific names of Hons. subjects
and course in the specified column.
- While buying the form, buying of the Prospectus is binding upon the students.
- Before taking admission a student should collect forms and prospectus, which will be available from the college admission counter.
- The students should submit duly filled-in application form along with attested copies of mark sheets, admit cards, registration certificates etc. of previous examination (M.P. & H.S.). Students should get their photocopies attested by the Heads of the institutions from where they have passed. School leaving certificate is also required. Original documents must be produced at the time of admission.
- SC/ST candidates should submit attested copies of relevant documents from appropriate authorities (DM/ SDO/ MLA/ MP/ Zilla Parishad Member / Municipal Councellor ) along with the form. Original copy is
not to be produced at the time of admission.
- Physically handicapped candidate should submit attested copies of authentic document along with the form. Original is to be produced at the time of admission.
- Students are to take a thorough note of the admission policy, as and when required. Admission is done on the basis of merit. The decision of the admission committee regarding the admission of a student to the college is final.
- Newly admitted students are required to attend at least 50% of the lectures delivered within the first 15 days. Name of the students who fail to do so will be struck off from the admission register.
